Daniel has been helping out with the construction of some of the levees in Sioux City. The girls and I decided to eat supper with him so we drove up to the city and picked up supper and then hopped in the truck with him. Its crazy to think that this is just the start of what is to come. In the 4 hours we were with him in the truck the water came up almost a foot. This is a dangerous river on a good day it is crazy dangerous now. The current is moving so fast that it is almost scary to drive near it. I'm for sure everything they are doing with the dirt levees will not be enough to match the rate the river is flowing...cant say I blame them though you have to try. Prayers go out to everyone being effected by this flood. We know how you feel and its a horrible feeling to lose things to mother nature but in the end they are just things...
