The girls let me work in the garden all day (had about a trillion weeds to pull) so as a reward we told them we could go see Cars 2 and grab some Papa Murphys on the way home. Before we left we took Grandma Sharon down some fresh garden lettece and asked her if she would like to see Cars with us. She said it had been yeeaars since she had been to a movie and happley agreed to go.
When we left it was a beautiful day. By the time we got out of the theater it was thundering. At Papa Murphys it was starting to pitch down rain. I think we made it to Salix and the wind was so strong and the rain so hard Daniel was driving about 40 mph. I dont think they should let recent tornado victums get stuck in a car in the middle of no place with this severe of a storm giong on. I was freaking out but trying to hide it to keep the kids calm.
We got ahead of the storm for a bit but it caught up with us again about 15 miles before we got home. Two miles from home as Im watching radar on my phone TORNADO WARNING for OUR county pops up on the screen. Im freaking out we head through town with our butt on fire and help Sharon into the house.
Not long after we get home Chuck, Angela and Aleesha join us for fear they will take flight in the camper.
85 to 100 mile per hour winds kept on for a total of 1hr and 40 min. Ive never seen anything like it...you could see clear sky but the storm never moved just kept on keeping on ruining whats left of Mapletons tress. I'm ready for winter...bring it on!!!
