Paytin got a tee-ball set from her friend Trent for her Birthday. Her Godparents Amy and Uncle Eric had alot of fun trying to teach her how to bat, and then Paytin had alot of fun cheering on everyone else for a hit well done! :)

Avary Will Be Here Soon

Avary will have June 30, 2006 as her Birthday! Which is an awsome thing because I really dont know how I would make it till July 12! It is also my best friends Birthday!

Hope everyone has a safe and happy 4th Of July! We are heading to the parade in town and I think that is about it for us... its super hot here today! I love Miss Paytins outfit...it was one of the first outfits I bought for her after we started getting ready :) I think its a memory box keeper...

My Aunts and Mom had Paytin a very nice baby shower today! As you can tell Pooh Bear was the theme since it is the theme we have everything else in. We now have a house full of stuff...I mean it...my car was packed, not one more thing would fit in! Thanks so much everyone!!!

Coming Home

We got home today around two. What an experience it is to get released from a hospital...my goodness!! Grandpa and Sharon were already at the house to meet us as we had to run into Ida Grove to get some meds for me... nine pound stuck babies do not so great things to parts of your body...oye! Anyway I love the way this house feels with her home I couldn't ask for more I'm truly happy...

Paytin's Birth Story

It all started just before 4 o clock on June 11th. Daniel had just gotten home and I was watching President Regan's funeral (what a nerd, I know right?!) Anyway...after it was over I said to him I kind of really think something is going on...but...being a first timer and still out a week from my due date I brushed it off as nothing, but just in case decided to clean out the car. Daniel decided to go lay down as he had a very busy week of driving truck with little sleep.

I made a few phone calls and watched some TV and still was feeling a little off. Not bad, just different. I started packing (guess mom instincts had kicked in by this time) By the time 10 rolled around I knew for sure something was happening. I went in a tried to wake up Daniel. (Hes the world most super sound sleeper, next to my Mom that is) I told him I thought maybe we should head to the hospital to which he said..."aaah just lay down and wait a bit" (I find out later he was talking in his sleep and had no idea what I had told him)

So again...being an easy going first timer with a someone who has been through this "baby thing" before I say ok. ha...

I felt a few pains through the night but nothing terrible. We woke up about 9 the next morning and

Me " Think maybe we should head to the hospital now?"

Daniel "why?"

Me: "um cause Ive pretty well been in labor all night! Don't you remember me telling you that?!"

Daniel "No!!!!! Lets go"

Him....out the door before me...haha

The hour drive that lasted 20 minutes to the hospital I don't care to remember every contraction hurt by this time every bump felt like it may kill me. The door handle was my best friend Im pretty sure I left marks.

We get to the hospital and find out I am almost a 4! Holly cow from nothing the other day to a 4...I'm good! ;)

We get in the room and get settled. I call Heather and tell her that I don't think we will be making her wedding reception today then call the parents.

About 1ish the anesthesiologist comes in and says he is leaving and no one else but the on call will be around until 3. He can give me my epidural now if I want one. Feeling pretty good I say nope Im still doing pretty good.  He makes it clear that he does not want to come back am I sure? Like a dummy I say yep Im sure.

No more the 2 min after he walks out of my door my water breaks and from that point the contractions are horrible! Yeeeps...I tell Daniel to go get him back...Daniel says he says hes not coming back...my reply...I don't care I want him back ;)

From what I gather Daniel told my nurse and she paged him...he comes back in grumbling something about being in the parking lot and he told me to do it then and I'm lucky he hadn't already left...yeah like I care crazy man WOMEN in pain here.

Got my epidural and heaven set in! :) Took a few naps watched some TV and waited...and waited and waited.

At about 8:40 PM Dr. Andrawis checked me and said ok I think we can push...

Um what?! Nope this was the part I was horrified about...I was ready to pack up and leave. Every horrific thought I could think of went through my mind. I was ready to go this baby could come out another day. Daniel talked me down...he was so good the whole way through it.  Whats the worst that could happen right?! My body could split in two...we were about to find out...

After about 50 minutes of pushing I was just plain tired. People kept saying this is a big baby...I remember that part but after that I don't remember much else other then her getting stuck.  What happened next was the single most scary thing I hope ever happens to me! No amount of pushing or pulling or 3 nurses on top of me pushing seemed to move Paytin. They were just about ready to call for an emergency C-section when I finally managed to gather enough strength to help get her out. She came out blue and not breathing and every alarm bell in the room was going off, Daniel had been pushed back against a wall and looked white as a ghost

 

shes way more blue here then the picture even shows.  After what seemed like forever they got a big old squwakin cry out of her...yay!!!

So after all that she was born at 8:50 PM June 12, 2004 

I finally got to stand up and take a shower about 2 hours later. I was a modest person before all this and let me tell you having a baby will throw modestly right out the window! By this time I didnt care that there were 2 nurses helping me get in and out of the shower...I just wanted a SHOWER!

We finally got to our room about 1 am and had Paytin rooming in with us by 2 am. Im not sure I slept at all and that was fine with me.

27 Weeks

I suppose its about time I put some sort of Pregnancy Picture up here, right?! With 12 weeks left I guess Im not doing such a bad job, even though Miss Paytin thinks she needs to have Cherry Coke Floats for Breakfast and Quizons for lunch most everyday! I have even given making my own "Quiznos" at home a try...its not hardley as good but I guess it works... Battle Creek needs to get bigger if only to have a Quiznos for me! hehe
